Become a Volunteer
You can contribute to working for peace through the arts by volunteering for the Trust in Administration, Public Relations, Fund raising or any other talent you may have!
Leonie Ebert volunteers about four days per week to running the Trust. This is a significant commitment over many years, thus we are working to raise funds separately from our grant funding to create sustainability; employment of a Coordinator. Trustees, Management Committee and some members also contribute their time with administration tasks, networking, website development, fundraising, organisation of the annual dinner and silent art auction.
Please contact us at info@artspeacetrust.org to offer your time or ideas, or to ask what we may find useful.
Our Fundraisers
Annual Dinner and Silent Art Auction
Each year the Trust have one significant fundraiser – our Dinner and Silent Art Auction. Being our only major annual fundraiser, it is very important we sell tickets, and have quality items in the auction for people to purchase on the night.
If you know any artists who may like to contribute to our raffle or silent auction, please let them know of the opportunity.

Artists for Peace Network
In 2004 the GFS Peace Trust went through a planning process to ‘stocktake’ and imagine a future wherein in 5 years’ time (being 2009 at the time) the Trust was financially self-sufficient and able to operate as an independent entity. Currently the Trust is fundamentally reliant on Leonie Ebert, Graham’s widow, and a Board, Trustees and supporters who assist Leonie. In this time of necessary evolution for the Trust, it was wondered what would happen if we brought together artists who actively supported our objectives? We felt any activity generated by these ‘coming-togethers’ would further the Trusts’ objectives, thus we should encourage and support such networking of artists.
We will also have virtual networking, whereby we will be featuring member artists on this website.
The network is currently a ‘wondering’ – current and active imagination, and sharing of these imaginings. Hence this discussion paper; we invite you wonder with us.
We have a discussion paper that connects the GFS Peace Trust history with the evolving and freshly emerging discussion of this Network.
